Hello and welcome to the Belmont County Clerk of Courts internet website. When I took office in 1985, I made a pledge to bring this Department into the 21st century. We have strived to make many changes over the years. We now have our main title office located in a modern, clean, up-to-date facility with ample parking for the customer. This department has been very aggressive in its approach to customer service. The Clerk of Courts now accepts personal checks for title payments and people can get their titles at any department in the state of Ohio because of cross county titling. We also maintain Monday evening hours for our working customers at our main title department. Our Investment program has helped put over a quarter of a million dollars into the county general fund. Our Legal Dept. became computerized in 1995, and we are now in the beginning phases of a county wide program to link all offices and departments that concern themselves with the justice system of the Belmont County Common Pleas Courts and the Clerk of Courts office.
